Ingrid Laubrock/Tom Rainey Buoyancy released in May
I am very excited that Tom Rainey's and my second duo CD is available now (here). The music was recorded live at the end of a 17-date tour which took us all over the United States. We'd like to thank everyone who made this tour possible.

Robert D. Bielecki Foundation grant
I am grateful to have been awarded a grant of $3000 by the Robert D. Bielecki Foundation to help record my new compositions for sextet, featuring Craig Taborn (piano), Tyshawn Sorey (drums, piano, trombone), Miya Masaoka (koto), Dan Peck (tuba) and Sam Pluta (live processing). Peter Evans will guest on a few tracks. The CD is going to be recorded in May and released on INTAKT Records in October 2016. There will be an open rehearsal on May 23 at I-beam Brooklyn, 8pm.

Downbeat 63rd Annual Critics Poll
Nice to hear I made it into the 2015 Downbeat Annual Critics Poll - #1 in the Rising Star category for soprano and #4 for tenor saxophone.
